Clay's Photos
Clay's personal photographs.
These photos are of the writing table that I built. The original design came from my dad, and has been scaled up for my purposes.
The is our patio construction project from spring of 2008. It's the compliment to the deck construction of late summer and fall of 2007.
This pumpkin seems to be smiling, but there are an aweful lot of sharp teeth in there.
My new Honda Magna. The single most terrifying thing I have purchased to date, including my house.
As I was packing for Penguicon I couldn't help but notice that my luggage seemed a little heavier than it should be for a change of underwear and a pair of shirts.
Our cats, Aidan and Nadia, don't usually sleep together. In fact if Aidan tries to get on the bed when Nadia is there, he's likely to get himself growled at. So when Elena found the two of them curled up next to each other she knew she needed to get a picture.
This is the slab for the shed as seen from the back of the property. The concrete is fairly well set up at this point, although any high ridges can be taken out. In general though, I found that touching the concrete was a bad idea.
This is the slab for the shed as seen from the front view. For as nervous as Tim and I were about the concrete pour, this went extremely well. The concrete load had a lot more aggregate than is normal for the mix I ordered, which made finishing hard, but it worked out okay, and the slab will be extremely strong when it's cured because of the extra aggregate.
The deck as seen in the daylight. Note also that all of the facing boards are in place now, giving it a much more finished look. I have to pour a footing for the stairs, then I can finish the deck.
Nadia is seeing the extent of the foundation work for the shed foundation.
