Rear View

This is the box from the back. The single most important design feature of this box is the wheels on the bottom, so that I can roll it instead of carrying it everywhere. The cardboard box wasn't a lot of fun to carry, since the sides are flexible. Also, the cats like to use the cardboard box to sharpen their claws, which is not good for the strength of the box.

Inside the box

Inside the box

This is the inside of the box. If you look carefully you can see the magnetic catches that hold the cover closed. Also note the extra cleat on the back, at the bottom. That was necessary so that I would screw the wheels into something more solid than half inch plywood.

This is the box from the front. You will notice that it's functional, not pretty. It may get painted once the weather warms up, but for now it stays plywood brown.

Elena is towing the tree box here, so you get an idea of scale. She's doing it somewhat under duress.

My Nature-Loving Cat

My Nature-Loving Cat

This is another t-shirt idea I had. Probably a lot less controversial than The Least of My Brothers.

The Least of my Brothers

The Least of my Brothers

This is a design that I'm considering for a T-shirt. I like the design, but I expect that I'm going to get a lot of backlash for wearing it. It's going to take a lot of courage to print this up.

Canoe Launch

Canoe Launch

I'm about to launch onto my bold river voyage from the downriver end of Flushing City Park to the distant reaches of the upriver end of the park. Not exactly the stuff of The Deerslayer, I'll admit, but considering I was in a canoe generally considered too big for one man, and I have almost no experience on the navigation end of a canoe, it might have been a tad ambitious.

India with Dinner

India with Dinner

This is my old cat India, proudly showing off her latest kill. She was about 15 when this picture was taken. This rabbit was not eaten until everyone in the family had come to see it and praised the cat.
